Choosing coffee as the focus of our business was a deliberate decision. We wanted to build a brand around something we genuinely enjoy and believe others do too. Coffee made sense because it’s versatile, widely loved, and offers endless opportunities for creativity.

A Growing Market, Full of Possibility

When we first decided to start a business, we knew we wanted something that could scale but didn’t require massive upfront costs. After doing some market research, it became clear that coffee was not only a booming industry but also one that aligned with our interests. Coffee is a part of daily life for millions of people, and despite the competition, we found there was room for unique, small-batch offerings that could bring something special to the table.

The beauty of coffee is its accessibility—it’s enjoyed by people from all walks of life, yet it allows for an infinite range of flavors, experiences, and personal rituals. We saw this as an opportunity to create a brand that could connect with coffee lovers who, like us, see their cup of coffee as more than just a caffeine fix. We saw potential in starting small, with low overhead costs, but growing into something meaningful.

We wanted to share that experience with others. The idea of bringing high-quality, well-sourced coffee to people who appreciate the nuances of a perfect roast excited us.

We didn’t want to just sell coffee—we wanted to create an experience. Cape House Coffee is all about the quiet, reflective moments at home, inspired by the comfort and simplicity of life in our Cape-style house. That’s why we decided to source our beans carefully, roast them to perfection, and create a brand that feels authentic to who we are.

Sourcing the Best, Roasting with Care

While we don’t roast our own beans, we’ve partnered with an incredible supplier who shares our commitment to quality and sustainability. This partnership allows us to focus on the parts of the business we’re most passionate about—designing the blends, curating the experience, and ensuring every bag of Cape House Coffee embodies the warmth and richness that drew us to coffee in the first place.

One of our signature offerings, Newport Nightfall, is a reflection of our love for deep, dark roasts. It's bold, smooth, and perfect for those who, like us, enjoy a robust cup of coffee with a lot of character. At the same time, we're also developing lighter blends that bring out the bright, nuanced flavors of carefully selected beans, because coffee is an art that deserves to be explored from all angles.
